At Tohsang Heritage Khongjiam, one of our proudest accomplishments is our commitment to environment and sustainable development. While upholding an excellent standard of service, we also maintain environmentally sustainable practices by efficiently managing and using natural resources. The decorating items in the guest rooms such as lamps, curtains, bed runners, and cushions are all handcrafted using natural resources. The local community members take part in creating these works of art, from growing cottons, ginning and spinning cotton, weaving, growing indigo, to tie-dyeing using natural colors, and basket weaving. By doing so, the treasured local wisdom is preserved, the well-being and quality of life is improved, and the environmental impact is reduced as much as possible, leading to the sustainability of the environment and community.
