At the village, tourists can learn every step of the production process, from growing cotton trees, producing cotton fabrics, to crafting the finished products, all in one place. The village also aims to educate tourists and build their appreciation toward the local artisans’ artistic skills and precious knowledge in creating exquisite works and to continue to support their works in the long term.
Situated within Tohsang Cotton Village is Craft and Café that offers refreshments for visitors to enjoy while taking in the beautiful scenery of the bi-colored river, as well as handmade souvenirs, all of which are made from cotton such as shirts, pants, bags, and keyrings.

The fertile soil of the Mekong River helps produce high quality cotton fiber and once the water level of the Mekong River starts to recede around November, the villagers begin to plant the cotton on the river banks in Khong Chiam District and harvest the cotton around February or March. You are invited to explore the cotton’s journey from harvesting the cotton to the process of weaving cotton into fabrics through the Cotton Harvesting Workshop, which is only available during the harvest season (around February to March).
